Duties and Responsibilities
It is the duty of the District Attorney's Office to prosecute and defend for the State, in all courts of the County, all cases, criminal or civil, arising under the provisions of the law. This department also handles matters such as recovering monies from returned checks.
The mission of a District Attorney is to ensure that our legal system effectively protects each of us, our families and our communities from crime, delinquency, abuse, and other threats to the peace and safety of society, and to provide effective representation of county officers.
If you need to REPORT A CRIME for investigation, you should contact the appropriate law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction in the location where the crime occurred.
